I know what you are doing! If the media says that jefferson should be treated with mercy, when clearly, Jefferson, is the worst of the two, you say, Ah Ha! Bias!
And you would be right. What are you going to do?

Both charges are serious, but I think this is comparing apples and oranges. Jefferson used his office to gain influence and money for himself, this is illegal and immoral. Libby broke the law by revealing secrets, lying about it, and potentially putting lives (CIA agents and contacts) in danger.
One did this for political reasons the other for selfish reasons. If guilty, Jefferson should go to jail. Libby should also get jail time but I would not have a problem with him getting off if he is willing to turn over those that set him up as the fall guy.

Jefferson. He commandeered, for his own use, National Guard vehicles to go to his flooded home in New Orleans to retrieve the hard cash he had stashed away. He did this in the midst of the post-Katrina panic, when thousands were without food or water in the Superdome. Libby "lied under oath" while testifying about a crime that has NEVER BEEN PROVEN.
