Stella isn't suitable for anyone.
Like most lagers, they get the yeast debris out by a process known as fining. Stella use isinglass which is made from fish skins. If you don't mind killing fish, you can drink Stella. If you're vegan, stick to real ale.

wow
another reason for me to be grateful,
that i'm no.1 a veggie & 2, teetotal.
it appears yes, stella & some other alcohol drinks are not veggie friendly
Source(s): As a general rule most cask conditioned ales are not suitable for vegetarians as they need fining to clear the material (especially the yeast) held in suspension in the liquid. This is invariably done by adding isinglass, derived from the swim bladders of certain tropical fish especially the Chinese sturgeon, which acts as a falling suspension, some bottled and canned bitters are suitable and the many lagers are chill filtered, so are suitable. However there are exceptions, so be sure to check before consumption - Anonymous1 decade ago
Depends on if you eat fish or not.
Look for products suitably labelled. Most decent supermarkets know what to do these days.

guiness, ( mentioned above ) is DEFINATELY not veggie. Crikey, you can even taste the fish in guiness.

I was told years ago, the only true vegan drink, is Guinness. (Not 100% if they meant spirits are included in this statement).
Something about fish or stuff in the others.Still you can't have jelly either or foods with red colouring in them.
Not easy being veggie
