Will China be big force in cricket in the Future ?

Traditional Chinese culture regards physical fitness as an important aspect, and, since the 20th century, a large number of sports activities, both Western and traditionally Chinese, are popular in ChinaRecently the Asian Cricket Council has been funding the growth of cricket in China. Coaching support is being provided by coaches from cricketing superpowers such as Australia and India. There are currently around 2,500 registered players, with the aim to have 150,000 by 2020 so the sport can receive Chinese state funding

china loves to do well in the international arena, whether it is in the olympics or economics or tiger hunting or arms race, cricket will fit perfectly with the global ambitions of a huge country

They will get better for sure, as they just started. But they will not become a top team, because: 1. Team sport is not strong in China (see football) 2. Cricket is not widely played, so there is no natural talent pool as in Pakistan or India where it's a national sport.

Why China! Why not America, and Russia? China entering Cricket is most unpredictable like Cricket. Woolmer may born in China, by the time China enters final in 2020 World Cup. George Bernard Shaw may lead the China Team as he is by now a primary School kid in China. In this free World we can say anything. It is like a virus. Can't we think our progress in Olympics. Can't we eradicate politics or heading political leaders in the sports? What Mr.Kalmadi is doing is big $question. Let us first have national spirit then think of World spirit.

China, Japan, and Korea are countries where cricket can not be very popular. Cricket requires a certain amount of class and these countries have no class whatsoever.
