Manu will come off the bench this Finals. The reason for this is that Pop wants at least on of his Big Three to be in the court at all times. And while he does not start the game, he's the one playing starter's minutes. Also Fin has been playing well as a starter so why fix what ain't broke?

Manu is the 2nd or 3rd best player on the team, by any right he should be starting, but he agreed to come off the bench instead. That's why the Spurs are so good. The players are willing to put aside personal recognition for the good of the team.

I don't think he will start in the finals. As part of Pop's startegy, he likes bringing Manu off the bench even if he is really a starter talent wise to give the Spurs Offense an instant boost midway in the 1st quarter.

He seems to be in a groove and the Spurs need a boost when he comes off the bench. Finley is a good starter. Manu probably will not start but will likely finish.

Sometimes he starts, sometimes he doesn't. But as I observed him, he seems more effective off the bench and Greg Poppovich might be thinking the same thing. If that's the case then Finley might start over him in game 1. Then if he gets it going and makes big plays for the Spurs, then Pop might be tempted to put him in the starting lineup. Either way, he can always explode to the basket and draw offensive fouls. He would be a factor of the Spurs' success if the Spurs would succeed.

Will they? The only way to find out is to stay tuned and wait for the finals to start.

Manu should not start because he is such an explosive threat that comes of the bench and schools the tired started or their inexpirenced bench

he plays better coming off the bench just like

barbosa in phoenix. when you try and start the

6th man they usually don't have the same

level of success because they are playing

longer minutes against starters which are better

players. the answer is if you are san antonio

    no.
