how can i get my hair to do what i want!?!?

i have a bit of a wave to my hair naturally and it does randomly curl on the sides and in the bottom. how can i make my hair stay curly? if i curl it, it goes straight within an hour, even if i put products in it. i don't know if i am doing it wrong? any tips on how to make it stay with nice loose curl?

also, i have a bob cut. at the length it is right now, i like to have the bottom of my hair flip outward when i blow dry it. my left side of my hair will flip that way and stay, but the right side will not at all. it flips inward and will not go outward even if i blow it out with a round brush. how can i get it to stay outward?

thank you!

Not just product girlfriend but the right product! I know there is a huge price jump from top end "pharmacy" type products and top end salon products but trust me....it is soooo worth it! Start with a curl enhancing shampoo and conditioner...make sure the conditioner is light and don't leave it on that long. Don't use it everytime you wash either....with the problems you are describing it sounds as though it will pull the curl out. Next? Mouse!!! Curling mouse!!! Make sure to pick one with firm hold. Put it on your hair starting at the roots and working to the tips. Then blow dry....again, roots to tips. Use a round barrel brush to blow dry the end in the direction you want them to go. Lot's of scrunching too once your hair reaches the just damp stage!!! It sounds like you want more curl than your hair can offer so you're going to have to use a curling iron. Ceramic is the way to go....medium barrel. Don't "roll" your hair on to it....wrap it around the barrel in a spiral motion starting from the roots and then overlapping with the other hair. Once all of your curls are in spray it with a light hold hairspray to set. Let it dry for a few minutes. Next comes the balm....it's really sticky and really gooey but it works wonders! Put a small amount on your hands....about the size of a nickle...and rub it around like lotion. Then comb your fingers through your hair lightly.....next, scrunch some more! Don't forget to flip your head upside down too while you finger style....scrunch those roots for extra volume!!! Keep working with it this way until you are happy with the results. Whatever you do....do not use a comb, brush or pick in your hair after you are done using the curling iron!!! Style it with your fingers only!!!! Finish the style off with a light on weight heavy on hold finishing spray. Keep in mind....it is summer and depending on where you live it is probably humid....this wreaks havoc on curls!!! With the balm you should be able just to re-scrunch for touch ups during the day....if needed you could wet your hands a little before doing this. Keep a travel sized finishing spray in your purse to refresh the hold depending on what you're doing and how long your day is. But please, please, please.....with all of this product in your hair you will need to wash it everyday! It will build up, get greesy and pull your lavish locks down if you don't!!! I hope this helps sweety!!! Now go on out there and show them what you're made of! I'm sure the men will love you and the women will hate you....which is a good thing!!!

    Kisses!!!

I have kind of the same problem with my hair in regard to curls falling out. My friend tried to curl it for my prom last year, but the curls kept falling out before she got to the other side of my head. Eventually, she used almost the whole can of hairspray, and it was still falling out by the end of the night! My hair was pretty crunchy too, which isn’t very nice.

My hair is rather long, so I’m not sure if this will work for your hair right now, but the only way I’ve gotten it to curl a bit is to either braid it, or to twist around and then sort of spiral it into a bun at the back of my head while my hair is wet, and then let it dry naturally overnight. In the morning, instead of brushing it (which just makes it go all poofy) I run my fingers through it to separate the strands a little, and then put it up halfway (since the top part is still straight) and it usually looks pretty nice. The twisty bun thing works better for curls, while the braid gives my hair more of a neater wavy look.

If your hair is too short for those, then the only thing I can suggest is to try those spongy curler thingies while your hair is wet, and just let it air dry or use a hairdryer. Again, I can’t guarantee that that’ll work, since some people just have really fine hair that won’t hold curls or waves much at all.

In regard to the hair flip thing, I’m afraid I can’t help you there.

For loose waves, Put mousse in dry hair, curl all of it with a one inch curling iron, then spray with hairspray to finish the look. If you don't use too much product, it will feel soft and it will last all day long.

I would try spraying the ends of your hair and then using a curling iron on the ends to help it flip out.

    Hope I helped!

I have darkish brown thick hair clearly. When it's darkish brown it appears healthful, glossy, and appears like I have much less hair & thinner. Thats simply an phantasm, sort of like while you put on black garments, you seem thinner. When I get relatively blonde highlights everywhere, it appears relatively thick, broken, and appears like I have a ton of hair and you'll be able to see each and every layer and perspective. a million.) Dark brown skinny hair doesnt seem dangerous. two.) Dark hair wont relatively make your hair seem thicker when you have skinny hair to start with. There are alot of goods in the market to make your hair seem extra volumized equivalent to shampoos. Also ensure you're taking a nutrition every day and consume correct vitamins. Your hair gets fitter.
