What is the best way to get day tickets to Wimbledon?

I hear you can turn up early in the morning, or even in the afternoon and get into the grounds and enjoy the atmosphere and the matches on the open courts. Can you let me know how, what time and how much it will cost? Thanks

Yes you can queue up for tickets on the day.Hundreds of people queue on the pavement overnight. It is very well organised. There are showers and toilets in the car park behind and several vans serving food.Sometimes late in the afternoon you can buy tickets to centre and no.1 courts because people who are already there leave early and hand them in,the money from those sales goes to charity.Even if you just get into the ground it is a wonderful experience you can sit on the outside courts and of course Henman Hill and watch the big screen
