Since you are only 14 yrs old, barn chores is just about the only job you are gonna get at a stable.

You can clean stalls, scrub buckets, clean tack, sweep, turn out horses, and maybe excercise horses in exchange for lessons or a discount on boarding.

You could also work as a junior camp counceler at a summer horse camp. Then you will help in lessons and help the little kids handle their ponies. This might score you points for lessons or discounted board also.

    Best wishes!

You can't legally get a job until you're 16, but I knew an eleven year-old who worked for my riding instructor. Call a local stable owner or instructor and ask if they need any help from an experienced horse owner. You could also post a flyer for a horse show groomer at a local show ground and list a county that your parents will be willing to drive you to and you can groom a horse at a show and/or barn where you can wash the horse. Or of there is someone at your barn who is maybe pregnant or sick and can't ride or care for their horse or is out of town you can horse-sit for them and ride and care for their horse, just be sure that you know that the horse is safe to ride. Good luck! :D

Go to a local stable and ask them if you could work there they usually pay you. If you know how to ride they sometimes ask you to exercise horses for them or feed the horses and there is a bunch of other things you could do. So just try that.

Being a 14 year old you probably cant have a job yet. So if any of your neighbors have horses ask them if they have any jobs you can do for them like clean stalls, groom, exercise and bathe. Good luck!

I am sure there have to be horse farms there in Ohio. You might start with calling veterinarians and ask if they know anything about equestrian employment.

well its hard to actually find a job that legally hires 14 year olds, but there are a few! anyways, if you go to a barn they might not expect to pay you.. so maybe you know have a garage sale, or something like that! have fun!

It's illegal in the U.S to have a paying job unless you are over the age of 16..... And if I was looking to hire and you came up to me with "I'm good with horses and need a job" I would'nt hire you.
