When i used to plug my thumb drives into the pc i used to be able to see its presence in my computer /removable drives but now it has vanished so i cant see what is on the thumb drive how do i get this icon back
Additional info i am running XP pro when the drive goes into the pc the screen flickers slightly i can save files to the drive and open files threw various programs but i really want to view the icon.

check whether the driver of the thumb drive is installed properly as it does not show the icon if the device is not installed properly.........

Go to the manufacture's website and make sure you download all the drivers for that thumb stick.

unplug then plug your thumb drive...
