Do you think that American boxing will go down because most of the champs are from other regions of the world?

No there are specific reasons why Americans are no longer the tops of the Heavyweight divison. The next great American Heavyweight Champion is probably playing in the NFL or NBA. The stellar talent pool of American boxers has declined over the decades with the rise in popularity of these two sports.

In years past little boys of all colors grew up wanting to be Joe Louis or Muhammad Ali. Now they all want to be Lebron James or Peyton Manning. Can you blame them? American kids today have realized they can make more money in other sports without winding up a punch drunk and broke when they are 50.

What if someone like Ray Lewis had laced up the gloves at a young age? Makes you wonder

No, because all the good fights are still in America, and the american public still watches boxing. The PPV buys are on par with what they have always been. Sure, the heavyweight division has foreign champs, but that division sucks and no one watches it. Lots of champs are american; Jermaine Taylor, Floyd Mayweather, Winky Wright ect.

Ummmm.winky wright ain't no champion he might be soon though but i think you mean floyd mayweather, jermain taylor, bernard hopkins, chad dawson, and some in the welterweight division....but nah american boxing won't go down cause we will always have performers we still got champs they are just letting the dang russians take over but thats only in the heavyweight division......a division thats always effed up.....and other division we would have unification by now look at the cruiserweight, welterweight *soon* but heavyweight always seems like the one that its always hard for unification cause champs always lose to their mandatory and pushes it farther behind its crazy and they hyped floyd-oscar bout so much of supposely saving boxing when it didn't save ****......Don't worry bout american boxing just worry about boxing in general cause mma is kicking *** right now because of boxing lack of BIG fights......

As said before, they need to get rid of this alphabet soup of titles, for boxing to get back to where it was. I kinda like those Ruskie heavyweights - except that big, fat Valuev ( he should fight Butterbean). Hopefully, they will motivate some of our big, tough kids to look toward boxing instead of the NBA and NFL. It used to be that boxing was a much bigger payday than NBA and NFL - not so anymore. We must appeal to American pride!!!!!

I think former USSR fighters are taking over...... they will be dominate for some time imo. This isnt a bad thing because they are tough fighters who go for the KO......unlike delahoya and mayweather who do a 12 round ballet.
