My webcam shows a green screen when I try to use it with yahoo messenger... How do I fix this?
I have a "Creative" brand webcam with the Live! Cam Center/Manager/Etc... It initially worked with Yahoo Messenger, but not anymore. Everytime I click "my webcam," under the "Messenger" toolbar option, I see a green screen and if I invite another user to view my webcam, they see a black screen. Then, when I try to close the green webcam box, my yahoo freezes and shuts down.
Has anyone been in a similar situation?
I've tired uninstalling and reinstalling both the webcam and yahoo messenger, but to no avail!
Help please?!
Thanks for any/all suggestions,
especially if you have a Creative brand cam/have been in a similar situation!

I am having the same problem as well. I have not had a chance to uninstall I have to get more memory for my computer. Otherwise when I shut it down after the reinstall it is very difficult to get it back on, as my virtual memory is low..too many homevideo dvds and pictures..so this sucks but glad I am not the only one with the problem. It was working fine yesterday, ah technology. Have a good one.

unplug the camera
install the software for creative
reboot your system
plug in the camera (into a usb port not near your keyboard)
run yahoo messenger
setup your webcam
run your webcam
