Where can buy a bike rack for a Subaru Baja Bed that does not require I remove the front wheel?

Update:

The bike does fit in lengthwise with the tailgate down and the bed extender gate in place. The bed is lined so there is no lip on the side rails.

Being 5' tall and on the shrinking rather than growing taller side of life the roof rack is out of the question!

Check out the options available from your Subaru dealer: http://www.subaru.com/shop/accessories.jsp?model=B...

You got all three options to choose from: Roof rack, hitch rack, or bed rack.

The Subaru bed rack looks particularly good. You don't have to remove the bike front wheel at all with that one-- It appears to have a tailgate extension.

    Hope this helps!

    Subaru Baja Bed Extender

The problem is that the Baja bed is shorter than most bikes, so if you leave both wheels on the bike probably won't fit inside. Test this by trying to fit your bike in the bed with no rack at all. If it doesn't fit lengthwise, a rack isn't going to help. If it does fit, try this for holding the bike with both wheels still on: http://www.recrac.com/

In general though, fork mount racks will provide better security, and take up less room.

Thanks adding the additional info. Your options are pretty limited. I had a friend who rolled her bike into the bed, front wheel first until it hit the front of the bed. She tied a rope to a lash point at the front corner of the bed, and then to one side of the handlebar (bike still upright). Same on the other side, with both ropes pulled tight. It wasn't pretty, but it was cheap and effective.

There are also lots of racks that "pressure fit" (no drilling or bolts) between the two sides of the bed and take up very little room. They do require removal of the front wheel, although that is a good skill to have. If you are uncomfortable removing the front wheel, stop at a bike shop and get help (free) learning how. You can take the wheel of most modern bikes in about 10 seconds without tools. Example of this type of rack: http://www.saris.com/p-222-kool-rack-w-2-fork-moun...

For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/awOIG

There is one that is hitch mounted and one that fits on the cargo carrier on top of the car. Check the OEM accessories catalog at the site below.
