The best way to store pictures for viewing?

What is the best type of photo album to store my family photos in? The ones that I bought a few years ago have yellowed on the pages. Also, any advice on how to store X-L (11X14 and 10X13) photos that I don't want to frame, but still want to stay nice? I don't have time to scrapbook, but want to take care of my photos.

I buy "archival quality" plastic sleeves that fit a loose leaf binder. You can usually find these in office supply stores.

Please back up all your important photos on a free site like Flikr. You can limit who can see them. Every time there is a flood or fire, people talk about the family photos they lost.

My niece started such an album for our family. She lives 2000 miles away but I have put photos of her grandparents and great grandparents in our virtual gallery.

Having the images in a cyber album saves them forever. You can also write detailed explanation of who and where they are taken.

And if you have older relatives, they might appreciate having their old photos saved too. Make it a family project.

A photobook is quickly becoming the replacement for the traditional photo album. Many places offer this service now, so shop around.
