Can I upgrade Visual Studio 97 to Visual Studio.net 2003?

I know it is old, but I have a ful version of visual studio professional 97. I need to work with a visual studio.net 2003 application, so need to upgrade.

Will I be able to upgrade to .net 2003 without buying the full version?

Yes you can, but it will be only for a trial period like 30, 45, or 60 days and then it will ask you for the serial or full purchasing license code. Might be during the trial period some function are not gone a work.

Else other way is illegal software download but its risky and dangerous. but it will give you the full version.

If you want to know the just search in the google. I cant help you with illegality even though its easy.

I have the Visual Studio .net Version 2003 (Professional) upgrade box in front of me.

It says that to be eligible for the upgrade you must be a licensed user of:

"Visual Studio Professional or Enterprise 97 or later" among others. So yes.
