Are Palestinians reaping the rewards of electing HAMAS?
I feel sorry for them. But as the world points at the US and laughs that we are led by a chimp, at least we haven't degraded to the point they have in much less time. Maybe they were better off under Israeli rule?

Of coarse they were better off. In Israel, these ppl have so many more rights and freedoms. They can worship freely, they are included in government they can vote. Tell me of EVEN ONE Arab country where a Jew could expect to be treated with even half the respect that Arabs are treated with in Israel?

The Palestinians DEMOCRATICALLY elected Hamas to represent them.
Hamas are so extreme that even their fellow Muslims are understandably scared of them. They attack and kill many who don't agree with their policies.
One of their main goals is the slaughter of the Israeli people. They have openly stated this again and again.
Now that they have control of Gaza, it's a very frightening scenario for the Israelis. The attacks from Gaza will increase in intensity, and there is no other Islamic group that can stop Hamas.
Remember, Hamas is backed by Iran.

Palestinians did not Vote for Hamas because they are really trust or love Hamas..
It is just a simple formula:
USA always supports Israel = USA and Israel do not want Hamas as a Palestinian leader = Palestinian voted to Hamas.
And only the Palestinians who pay the price!
Peace!

Or maybe they would be better off if we could accept their choice...Like it or not it was the Palestinian people who elected Hamas and we decided to apply collective punishment for their choice...

Yes -- disaster and death. When the Israelis left the Gaza Strip, there were small businesses, greenhouses, etc. Now there are dead people. You decide.
