Is the Obama admin taking a page out of the Bush admin playbook?
By "alerting" different venues to be on the look out for terrorists to divert focus from other issues?
5 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhy does the AARP support the health reform bill when it's members don't?
It is obvious that health reform is needed, but the myriad of bills being discussed do not address the reasons health care has become expensive and only add to the real causes that it has. The AARP is "confused" at the fact that it's members are leaving because of their support of the health care bills being addressed. Maybe they should listen to their members and back true health care reform and start supporting the Republican intitiatives.
2 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoWhy does the Whitehouse consider much of the opposition of their health care plan is based on "myths"?
When it most of the opposition is based on what COULD happen with the health care bill as written.
16 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhy do people that want health care reform not want to discuss the flaws of the bill currently in the works?
They will speak of what Obama says and when you point out that the Bill contradicts that, they say you must be a greedy Republicunt that doesn't care about the millions of uninsured people. They don't debate the facts of the bill, they say "it's still in draft" and the "final bill isn't done" SO what? These points are in the draft... you will lose your current health care coverage. (sec 102). The Government will contorl staffing at hospitals, the government will set limits on care... whats to stop them from being put in the final bill?
10 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoCan you believe this?
Obama triples the deficit and now his people say that they may have to raise taxes to "pay down the deficit" and for health care.... somebody please hit the brakes.....
3 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoIs this proof that the US education system isn't as bad as it is usually portrayed?
According to the this poll, people around the world overwhelmingly approve of Obama's economic policies. It seems that US investors understand economics better than the rest of the world. http://news.yahoo.com/s/bloomberg/20090723/pl_bloo...
8 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhy is the government included in this article as a corporation?
This article about the 10 worst corporate blunders of 2009 (mid year) include two government gaffes. Is this an attempt to start us all thinking of the government as just another corporation or an attempt to slam the current administration?
1 AnswerOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoWould Somone PLEASE give me one good reason to vote for Obama? ?
I have yet to hear any reason I can agree with. The ONLY reason I can understand is his stance on Iraq.... that is the only logical reason anyone has given for voting for him. Everything else has been BS. SO without being insulting, and without BS, give ONE good reason to vote for him.
21 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy do those that think Obama won the debate say that he "gave clear answers"?
Obama did not clearly say anything, he was political, meaning he skirted and dodged everything asked. He tried to tie McCain to Bush more than once on wrong issues and even tried to hide his own culpability with the Washington crowd. Exactly what did you find so "clear" in his answers?
2 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhy are some Democrats that deride Bush for appointing Brown in charge of FEMA so eager to do the same? ?
By electing Obama. Lets face it, both of them are not qualified to do the job presented to them... and we all know how well Brown worked out.
2 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoHow do the candidates expect to make everyone buy health insurance?
Health insurance costs are extraordinary, Hillary and OBama want to force people to buy health insurance (and subsidize the costs for some) but they fail to address the reasons health insurance is so expensive. Medical malpractice insurance costs doctors more than most people make a year, and Insurance companies answer to their stockholders before their customers are two of the main reasons it is so expensive. It seems that insurance companies are the ONLY winners in the field of medicine. The democrat solutions to the "health care crisis" only masks the problem.
14 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhy did red states from the last election choose Obama over Hillary?
In most states with Bush as a clear winner in the 2004 election they chose Obama as their candidate.
9 AnswersElections1 decade agoAre Palestinians reaping the rewards of electing HAMAS?
I feel sorry for them. But as the world points at the US and laughs that we are led by a chimp, at least we haven't degraded to the point they have in much less time. Maybe they were better off under Israeli rule?
6 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoHow old does a child have to be before they can decide whom to live with after a divorce?
I am in PA and I am thinking about getting a divorce (neither of us has been happy for years) My son is 14 and wants to live with me, but my wife would do ANYTHING to stop that from happening. What age do children get to choose whom they want to live with?
11 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoShouldn't people that don't agree with some of the requirements for a job find a different job?
A news report says that some Minneapolis cab drivers refuse to give rides to people with alcohol in their luggage. They do this because of religious reasons. Shouldn't they find a different line of work if they want to be judgemental of others, or if their religion forbids them to carry out the basics of the job they are in, rather than to strand or refuse to do the job?
