Why do people that want health care reform not want to discuss the flaws of the bill currently in the works?

They will speak of what Obama says and when you point out that the Bill contradicts that, they say you must be a greedy Republicunt that doesn't care about the millions of uninsured people. They don't debate the facts of the bill, they say "it's still in draft" and the "final bill isn't done" SO what? These points are in the draft... you will lose your current health care coverage. (sec 102). The Government will contorl staffing at hospitals, the government will set limits on care... whats to stop them from being put in the final bill?

Update:

Sec 102 grandfathers your insurance in...BUT, your current insurance phases out over time (5 years) or if the insurance changes ANY aspect of it's coverage.

Update 2:

Kiran. I would love to debate this issue further. IF... the current insurance plan conforms to government requirements it wouldn't be "my current plan", If they don't they are abolished, or if they change ANY aspect of thier plan during the "grace" period (double edge sword, conforming is change so they lose thier grandfather clause) ... Granted that it probably already meets most of what would be in the government plan, but conforming would require an increase in premiums, and probably would end up in a reduction of coverage (cause they still want to make a profit, so cut some costs). And what is with the inability to sign on new customers? If the Government is for "choice in insurance coverage" why is that clause in there?

I have attached a copy of the bill. Read section 102 on page 16. You will see that people with existing coverage are grandfathered in. In other words, if you have insurance nothing changes; if you enroll somewhere you are subject to the new rules.

Click on my profile. Review the questions that I have answered for several weeks. I and others have corrected this error before. If someone told section 102 will lead to losing your current insurance, they lied to you.

    EDIT.

Read the page 17 again. No insurance is phased out. Insurance plans have 5 years grace period to meet the new rules. Anything in the new rules will force people to lose their coverage or their doctor.

I'm all for debate of a bill, to make the best needed changes to it. But if you're just as hard-headed with your approach as you accuse others of being, how in the hell do you plan on accomplishing anything?

    Saying "don't change anything" isn't a debate.

i know , obama should just do like bush , sign an executive order and just bypass Congress altogether .. bush spent an estimated one TRILLION on his secret 'wall street stock plunge protection team' with out any congressman having to vote on it . in fact bush signed more executive orders than any other president in history . oh , and health care bill is an oxymoron , its an INSURANCE bill . it has nothing to do with health .

Why do people who do not want change shout down any questions on the subject. Why are they unwilling to let citizens ask questions and hear answers. Why is the only voice these protesters want to hear is their own voice.
