Would Somone PLEASE give me one good reason to vote for Obama? ?

I have yet to hear any reason I can agree with. The ONLY reason I can understand is his stance on Iraq.... that is the only logical reason anyone has given for voting for him. Everything else has been BS. SO without being insulting, and without BS, give ONE good reason to vote for him.

Update:

Josh... you seem to be the only one with any answer at all. But I have to disagree. Raising taxes on anybody is bad in a weak economy, raisning taxes on business is plain foolish. Neither candidate's health care plan is great, Obama's just enpowers the insurance industry, and McCains doesnt' address the heart of the problem.

He doesn't want to privatize social security AT ALL (which McCain is for partial privatization).

He will lower or keep taxes the same for anyone making under $200,000 a year.

He wants universal health care, something very important for many people not in the top tier of our economy.

He wants to put billions of dollars towards new/cleaner forms of energy and not just "drill baby drill" as the saying goes

He seems like an intelligent man who can get us through problems we haven't even thought of yet.

Every issue that directly affects me, well, his policies work better. McCain believes in economic theory that has proven to be broken in the current times.

Health care is a huge issue as well. When I left one job to take another, I became one of those "lazy bums without health care" that so many republicans talk about. Granted, I was only a bum for the first 90 days of my new employment...but you get the point...

Thing is, McCain's plan will kill people like me, who don't make enough money to get the full benefit of that tax credit. Obama's plan will get us a little closer to where I don't have to worry about going bankrupt because I got appendicitis during the first 90 days of my employment.

To me, that is a sin. I would gladly pay more in taxes if I could trade my insurance premiums.I know universal health care in America would not work as well as it has in some European countries. But some of them exemplify what we should do. If you want to know how well a system like Obama's could work, take a trip to Belgium. The health care system is regarded as the best in Europe. They pay for it through both private and public means, making it accessible to all and competitive enough to ensure that you are getting great care. The system there is a loose model of what Obama is proposing.

My "one good reason" is without a doubt, health care. I'm sure, at the very least, we agree that this is a darned good reason to vote for a candidate.

    I think the gist is:

if you are rich you probably shouldn't. Obama is likely to raise taxes more on the rich than the poor or middle class.

If you are poor or middle class you shouldn't vote for McCain as he will give tax breaks just to the rich and leave you paying for any bailouts and the war in Iraq without help from the rich.

I think both will eventually have to raise taxes, but they will make the rise affect people of different incomes differently.

If you don't already get healthcare through your company McCain is not doing anything to get you any. His planned tax credit is not enough to buy you health insurace by a long run. So you are on your own there.

Obama will at least try to get health care for everybody. Though I am not sure if he will manage, but at least he will try.

    Vote for Obama if...

You want to wait 1-2 years to see a doctor. If you have a serous disease, you will die before you are seen. (Just ask Canadians they are a socialist bunch and a lot of them are dying before they can see a doctor.)

You want someone who doesn't know which religion he is. (Tripped up and said his Muslim faith, after stating he is a Christian)

You want someone that has only 143 days of training in the Senate!

You want someone that is not proud enough to wear the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA'S Flag on their lapel.

You want someone that believes it is ok to kill a baby that could survive outside of the womb.

You want someone that has more shady connections than all the past nominees put together.

You want to bust your butt to make it in this economy just to give your hard earned money to a bunch of lazy crack heads that won't work.

    Wake up America

There are absolutely no good reasons to vote for Obama. I'm sticking with the McCain/Palin ticket.

there is no reason he's a socialist, if you want higher taxes, government owned banking and health care(which we have to pay for)than vote for him. he's a liar, cheat(acorn fraud voting, that obamas campaign is giving money too).he won't end the war ,he said he wants out of iraq but said he'll fight terrorism in 60 countries(but not against his buddy bill ayers.

McCain has had four bouts of melanoma cancer.

His running mate believes Adam and Eve rode to church on a brontosaur, and would be president if McCain can't serve his term.

If you need a better reason than that one, then no reason will suffice because you have completely lost your ability to reason.

Cos he's black and if you don't vote for him you're a racist.

Well that's what the Liberals tell you.

He promises change, but come on with the way the US is the only way is up, regardless who you vote for.

Personally, neither McCain or Obama are worthy of your vote.

He's not a Republican with more of the same agenda.

It's funny to watch McCain tout 25 years of experience and then bash Washington. Isn't he bashing himself?

    Republicans are so doubletalk.

    1. he has actual plans to fix the economy besides john mccain's solution (cut taxes)

    2. he will end the war in iraq that drains billions of dollars every week from our government

    3. he will ensure that everyone in america can get health coverage. 50 million americans currently live without health insurance.
