Can someone help me write a thank-you note in French (Canadian dialect)?

Hello,

My husband's relatives from Quebec came to my graduation party over the weekend. They don't speak English, only the Canadian dialect of French. I'd like to say something to the effect of "thank you for making the trip to attend my graduation party, it was a pleasure to meet you." Can someone help?

Thank you.

    Cher xyxy [male name]

    or Chère xxxxx [female name]

Tous mes remerciements pour avoir voulu faire ce voyage afin d'assister à ma remise de diplôme. Je suis très heureuse d'avoir enfin fait votre connaissance.

[The second sentence is slightly changed to, literally: I was very happy to finally meet you]

Apart from some specific idiomatic structures, French Canadian relates very much to French language.

Merci beaucoup d'être venus à la remise des diplômes lors de ma graduation. C'était un plaisir de vous rencontrer. Merci.

by the way, French Canadians don't have a "dialect" as you refer. We only have different expressions and a different accent than the French from France.

She probably thinks AC/DC music is the best too. How does she feel about cinnamon rolls? Heck, if she likes them she can't be all bad. Right Dings? Print the note off the computer printer at work and put it in her work station when she takes a break. Let her sweat it out who has it in for her. You can test her later to see just how jumpy it made her. Sneak up behind her and softly say "Boo!" If she jumps and her head hits the ceiling, you got her good.

    Bonjour,

Les parents de mon mari de Québec sont venus à mon parti de remise des diplômes pendant le week-end. Ils ne parlent pas d'anglais, seulement le dialecte canadien de français. Je voudrais dire quelque chose à l'effet "de merci pour faire le voyage pour assister à mon parti de remise des diplômes, c'était un plaisir de vous rencontrer."
