well if contemporary is like modern then yes i do it .. its fun, it takes flexiblity and strength, and i dont think 14 years old is too late, contemporary dancing is not a style that yu start at a really young age, im pretty sure people start like at that age..
but i was watching so yu think yu can dance and the majority of the dancers dance contemporary .. many started pretty late too, maybe your age to like even when they were 18 but they obviously had previous experience with dancing..
so just try it and maybe yul like it

Go for it! Especially if you have previous training in ballet, jazz and modern. I think it is a great age as you are more "mature" and are able to handle the more "odd" movements as they are not "traditional" or follow a specific technique. the younger kids may not be able to "pick it up" as you could when you are a little older. But this is also individual.
I love contemporary! It is pretty close to modern dance, BUT it's not following a specific technique. In other words- It is not just Graham, Limon, Cunningham or Horton technique... It is a mix of a lot of styles/ techniques. Hope this helps.

I did a contemporary summer class last year. I thought it was ok. I don't think you are to old. you don't have to be skinny.
