How do you prevent yeast infections?

ever since I started working out all the time, I guess the perspiration is causing recurrent yeast infections. Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

eat yogurt, wear 100% cotton underwear, dont wear underwear to bed, and avoid thongs especially when working out. and when you do wear thongs make sure they are the thicker ones not the string ones. and wash yourself everyday with gentle soap.

Personally I think if anything it can cause one. If the conditions of the vagina are already that she's on the verging of getting a yeast infection, I think that sex just agitiates it and can bring it along quicker. There are some people who believe that having sex in a way 'rubs' the bacteria in, basically causing the yeast infection. The idea is to balance out the vagina and the body to prevent yeast infections, so I don't thinkt hat making it more acidic is necessarily the answer, a balance between the two needs to be found.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

Yogurt is gonna be your friend right now.

You could even try to cure the yeast infection with a tampon dipped in plain (I would use ORGANIC) yogurt for a few days until the infection goes away. Then wear cotton loose fitting bottoms when you work out. DON'T use powder to dry yourself in the crotch area as that can make things worse for you.

yeast infections ( yeast-overgroth, because yeast are always present in the human body) is primarily caused by the eating of cooked and modified carbohydrates. The yeast feed on the carbohydrates and therefore breed/multiply at a rate faster than the body can get rid of. The solution is to eat less of cooked and modified foods rich in carbohydrates and to replace those foods with raw foods that the body can digest better and therefore give the yeast less to feed on. High carbohydrate food are bread, potatoes, pop, grains, beans, and many others.

Trying taking an AZO Yeast everyday. It helps prevent them, and gets rid of them when you do have one. I take them, and they seem to be working. I used to have t same problem. They're cheap too. Like, $5 for 60 pills

Try wearing underwear that wicks away moisture while you work out. Also, try not to wear clothing that is really tight around you crotch area.
