I guarantee you, though, there would not be a dry eye in the house. If you do choose to sing, make sure you can finish the song without breaking down into tears. It is hard to perform, or even speak, at the funeral of a loved one. I gave the eulogy at my father's funeral, off the top of my head, with no notes, nor preparation, after my father's best friend backed out at the last second...there were over a thousand people, and loud speakers set up outside the church...and it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do... I'm sorry for you loss, but glad for you that you were old enough to know and treasure your great grandpa. They are so special to us, aren't they?
