My Dad got killed in 1980. He was the best guy ever! He taught me how to be a MAN!

My Dad was a farmer and he worked hard, 7 days a week all his life. He taught me to be good to women by his example. My Mom had a total nervous breakdown and underwent electroshock "therapy" in1963. She was changed and got really mean and cold and unloving and vilent and distant and uncaring after that. My Dad went through hell with her, but he never blamed her, it was not her fault. He was really hurt and was so alone after that, she just withdrew inside herself, unless to scream or yell.

Yet, he stayed by her and took care of her and NEVER cheated on her.

My Dad is my HERO!

I tried to be just like him, but my wife of twenty years was kinda like my Mom. She was always sick and blaming me for all her problems but I stayed with her hoping things would get better. She divorced me, even though I bent over backwards to do all she wanted me to do for her. Everything I had was not enough for her, so she left, taking everything I owned and suing me, absolutely destroying me financially.

I have been living in a truck for over 5 years trying to get out of the financial pit she dug for me.

That's ok though, because I finally found a woman who knows what a REAL MAN is and she loves me and WANTS me!

I will go to Church and pray in Thanksgiving for God sending me to my Dad.

I don't know if I will hear from my son or not. I hope I do. I really love him.

On Mother's day, this Yahoo Answers was flooded with messages about Moms, but sadly, not much about Dads on Father's Day. Sad.

I sent my father a card,with a nice letter about what a great father he has been to me,and the rest of the family.

You see he lost his oldest son in march of this year and it will

be a special year for him,i hurt with him as he was a great brother.

Avd i will call him on sunday sometime during the day,and

have a talk with him,although he is not much of a phone

person.

Yes, I have a father but he is far away from me. I sent him a card already and tomorrow I have to work:( but will go to a party after that:)

We are having a barbeque and some of his children are coming to celebrate at our house, since we won't be around for the 4th of july.

No i'm not going to thank my father for being into this world.

Reasons: !) He claims i'm not his. 2) he abused me as a child.

3) I haven't seen him in 22 years. I thank God for that.

Well, I made my pops some cinnamon rolls, oatmeal cookies, and cheesecakes. Since he likes nothing better than goodies...And my whole fam is going on a campout tonight for this special day...my bro and his wife flew down especially for it! it's gonna be great :)

im in the east coast, so it's about 6hrs away from father's day for me now. first church, then my family & I plan on going to a museum tomorrow. my sister & I have a gift for him, but im not sure who will be paying for lunch tomorrow...
