Connect DVD player to TV with only the white and yellow inserts on TV.?
My TV only has white and yellow plug-ins in the front of it. It's one of those TV/VCR combos. the vcr doesn't work anymore. how do I connect my DVD player to this TV? it has been connected before, but I cannot remember how to do it.

That's a mono TV. You will need a dual female to single male adapter for your audio connection. You can get these at many places, including Radio Shack. If you don't use this adapter you will not get all of the sound. Even though it does not come out of just one side (nothing does in a mono TV) you will only get the sound that is processed into one channel. Using your red, white and yellow cables, plug the yellow from the output on the DVD player to the video input on the TV. Hook up the red and white cables from the audio outputs of the DVD player to the female ends of the adapter. Plug the male end into the white audio input jack on the TV.

Connect the yellow and white connectors. The red and white are just left and right audios. It will be just fine unless your running surround sound. But your most likely not.
And yes it will sound perfectly fine. No you wont just hear sound out of one side.
Use a male to male rca cable.
