Know when to reach out for help and don't be afraid to talk about your feelings. There will always be lots of people crazier than you, so please don't be self-conscious. If you are feeling all mixed up inside and you're experiencing overwhelming despair, let it out! Tell someone, reach out to a friend, see a professional, etc. There are many options but you must take that first step and try to see what works for you.
I suggest journaling your thoughts about despair. I had a dark time in late high school/early college where I thought about death all the time and failure. My therapist recommended keeping a wellness journal...to which this day, I still keep.
Here's a good place to get your thoughts out, and also find people to chat with regarding your thoughts and panic disorder. This site offers support groups and lots of treatment information about current meds.
I keep a journal there so I can track my own progress dealing with depression and anxiety. There's only so much that docs and meds can do. I wish you the best of luck with coping.

I once had a very unorthodox "cure" for a panic attack performed on me.
This person gave me a slap on the face and forced me to drink a big shot of straight vodka, and then I was right as rain.
I know it's weird, but it helped me that time.
Apart from that, I don't know. Try getting your mind of it, try doing something else until you get distracted, like watching TV, solving a crossword, even doing phisical excercise that exhausts you will get your mind off it.

I have read some litterature about panic attacks. But they allways seem to have a more scientific approach and that is nothing I need in my struggle to survive those horrible panic attacks. This is a "hand on" and very practical book. I felt it was written to me. I am sure that you are going to feel the same.
Joe Barry writes exactly how I think. The examples are perfectly described. And the method is genius. I recommend this book and thanks Joe Barry for writing it. It changes your life

See panic attacks and anxiety at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris on pages 8 and 6, and read page 2, then note the tips at the mental-health-abc and conquering stress websites, and practise one of the relaxation methods on page 2, then try the guided meditations on page 3.

take deep breaths & ask the white light of the Holy Spirit to surround & protect you..& ask your angels to calm & protect you....incidentally I was feeling horrible last might also..I think I was being psychically attacked & I think that can happen,
one way I deal with this, I say this prayer every night b4 I go to bed:
"I ask the white light of the Holy Spirit to surround me & protect me & transmute any fears & phobias & negativity I am carrying around from any lifetime;including this life"
Also,I carry a piece of SODALITE crystal which has helped me alot in dealing with panick attacks, simply pace it on your solar plaexus & lie down & take deep breaths if u can...
but remember you have to cleanse crystals as they absorn negative energy..the simplest way I know 2 do this is by placing it in a bowl of brown rice for 24 hours (it's safe to eat the rice after)...
hope u r feeling better!

The cross trainers at my church recommend prayer at the days end to help the mind remember the important things. It is like writing a wellness diary for yourself.

try singing to yourself a very calming sweet song, or playing it on a CD or whatever. Try to send out wishes of peace to everyone.
Pray the prayer of St. Francis of Asissi, the one that says, "Lord make me an instrument of thy peace..." It has a calming effect.
