Riding a bike is so much fun, and once you learn you won't forget. Ask a good friend to help you, and wear pads and a helmet. You may feel silly wearing the pads, but you'll almost inevitably fall while you're learning, and you'll be glad you have them. It's been so long since I learned to ride I don't quite remember how I learned, but I remember my dad holding the bike up and walking beside me while I pedaled around. eventually I got used to the feel and he let go. I fell after a short time, but I got up and tried again--that's the key. Now, even though I don't have a bike and haven't really ridden in ages, I can still sit on a bike and ride it--it's a rewarding skill you'll never lose.

    Good luck!
