  • Safari constantly "quits unexpectedly"?

I'm on an Apple MacBook, and for the last couple of weeks Safari has been crashing every time I try to open a link, open a new tab, open a new window, etc. If I have just one window open, it's generally ok, unless I try to follow a link that opens a new window. It's extremely frustrating! I've tried resetting Safari, and I don't know how to uninstall it, but I'm at a loss.

    Any suggestions?

  • Good laptop for a college student?

I'm looking to buy a laptop, and I'd like to spend around $1000.

I need a machine that's very fast and won't freeze up on me, and with tons of memory (I'm a writer). Screen size...probably around 14.1, because I know the smaller the screen the lighter the computer, and I don't want to lug a monster around campus. I don't know anything about the terms like RAM, MGHz, etc., so pretty much something very fast with lots of memory.

  • What is the best company to get a freelance proofreading certification?

I'm interested in becoming a freelance proofreader in order to work my way through college. I know I need some training first though, so that I really know what I'm doing. Does anyone know of a safe, legitimate company that offers online courses and reputable certification?

  • What should I wear to Afternoon tea at the Brown Palace in Denver?

My best friend and I are going to take our moms to the Brown Palace in Denver for afternoon tea tomorrow. On the reservations it said that the dress code is casual dress, but I'm not quite sure what that means. Any suggestions?

  • Why does my face get so red when I exercise?

I'm out of shape, but not overweight. Whenever I exercise, my face get bright red. It's uncomfortable, but not unbearably so. I just get self consious. I'm going to start riding my bike a whole lot pretty soon, and I don't want to turn red every single time I go for a ride. Is there anything I can do to prevent it?

  • I need a book reccommendation for a 17 year old Christan girl?

I still haven't bought my best friend a birthday gift. We've agreed that we definitely don't need any more knick-knacks that will just take up space. She said she'd like a good devotional or something. I'd like to get her a very good Christian book, not necesarily a devotional, but along those lines. She reads extremely quickly, but if the writing style is old fashioned and flowery, she probably won't get much out of it.

She's single, and has struggled with that in the past. She's at the point now where she says she doesn't even want to have anything to do with guys, but I think her extremity is unhealthy. I'm not sure if I have anything else to add, but any reccomendations would be immensely appreciated.

  • I need help choosing a build kit for the mountain bike I'm building?

I just bought a Yeti ARC frame, and I'm going to build it. I think a build kit would be better and quicker than buying the individual components, but I'd go for a second opinion.

I get totally overwhelmed when I'm looking, because I don't know a whole lot yet. I do know that I want the highest quality components for the least amount of money. I'm totally willing to buy a lower model item if it performs exactly the same but weighs more, but I don't want to compromise much on quality and performance because I don't want to speand a ton of money replacing of fixing things.

I paid $300 for the frame, and would love to buy a build kit for around $600 or $700.

I'm a senior in high school, so I'm also saving for college, so the less money spent, the better.

Thank you so much for your time!

  • Does Yeti make any female-specific bikes?

I'm looking to buy a bike--probably the Scott Contessa 10, but my brother has a Yeti, and I'd LOVE a yeti as well, but I'd also like a female specific bike. I don't know if yeti makes female specific bikes. And I'm on a limited budget as I'm a senior in high school and saving for a car and for college.

Thanks so much for your time!

  • I'm desperate to start biking! Please help me figure out what to buy?

My brother race mountain bikes, and I really want to get into it as well. I haven't ridden a bike in years, but I'm starting to learn as he's getting more involved.

I'm totally out of shape...it's pretty pathetic. I'm 5'2"--what size bike would be best? I know it's impossible to say exactly without trying the bike first, but can you give me a ball park range?

Should I go for hardtail or full suspension? Everyone told my brother to buy a hardtail, but he said that's because he climbs so well, I really think I'd like a hardtail as well, but I'd like the advice of people who know more than I do.

Also, do you have any suggestions regarding a specific bike...my budget is limited as I'm saving for a car and college as well, but I'm probably willing to pay up to $1000.

I think that's it, thank you so much for your help and your time!

  • What's a good mountain bike for me?

My brother races mountain bikes, and I'd love to get into it. He has a Yeti F.R.O., and I'd love a yeti as well, but they're so expensive.

I'm 5'2" and don't know what size bike I'd need. I'd like a hard tail with disk brakes...I'd like a woman specific bike, but I'm not quite sure where to start. I'm on a limited budget as well, as I'm saving for a car and for college.

  • Homemade skin masks?

I've got some time all to myself, and I want to pamper myself a bit. Does anyone have some reccomendations--I have sort of combination skin--it's oily in some parts, dry in others, I get pimples on my temples, and my pores are rather clogged.

I need recipes for skin masks that I can mix up using ingredients that I have around the house.

  • Liberty Universtiy or Cedarville University?

These are the two colleges I'm most seriously considering.

I want to know pros and cons for both. And I'd prefer if answers come from people who have actually had personal experience with these colleges.

I do want to attend a Christian, conservative, fairly large college, but I don't want legalism.

  • How can I help a bulimic friend?

I have a friend, and I'm almost positive she's bulimic. She's TINY. She's about 5', and like 80 pounds. She's skin and bones. Her teeth are very discolored, which I know is a result of bulimia. Today she sang the National Anthem at her graduation, and she has an amazing voice, but it kept cracking, and it wasn't the normal sort of crack that comes from being nervous or dry. I'm so worried about her. My mom had a bulimic friend who died of it. Is there something where I can report her problem to refer her to some sort of treatment? I'm pretty close to her, but I don't feel like the relationship is close enough that I can talk to her about it.

Any help at all would be very appreciated. Thanks!

  • What should I wear to the symphony?

I'm going with a friend to the symphony next Saturday night. I don't know a thing about it except that it's in Denver. What should I wear? I have a dress that I've worn to a couple of dances. It has a black lining that comes a few inches above my knees, and over that the whole dress has a sheer black layer that comes down to my shins. The bottom hem is trimmed with a light blue ribbon and there are light blue flowers adn rhinestones sewn on from the hip across to mid thigh. It has spaghetti straps and isn't too low cut. I'm sorry if I spent too much time describing it, but I want to be sure it's acceptable, because I can't afford to go out and buy a new dress. If I wear this one, how should I accesorize, makeup, etc?

  • I'm so tired of my hair! I need a change.?

My hair is sort of long, like eight inches below my shoulders. It's sort of a dirty blonde. I had it tapered a bit a few months ago, but that's mostly grown out so for the most part it's all one length. When I let it air dry it's mostly straight but a bit frizzy and I get little waves by my face (SUPER annoying!). I want to change it. I'm willing to get it cut to a couple inches below my shoulders and layered, but the layers all have to be long enough that I can pull everything up into a ponytail.

Pictures would be awesome. Thank you so mcuh for your time.

  • What is the best way to shrink a wool sweater?

I bought wool sweaters at a thrift store to shrink and use the material to make pusres. I want to shrink them so that the stitches are super tight and won't ravel at all when I cut up the fabric. What would be the best way to do this?

  • How can I lose weight and flatten my tumm?

I'm 5'2" , 17, and weigh about 117. I guess I'm pretty thin, but I'm self-consious about the pudge on my stomach. I'd like to get rid of it--I can't afford a gym membership. What are some excersises I can do in my bedroom and how do I do them correctly?

I work at a fishing club so I basically eat the leftovers from the guests' meals--lots of rich, unhealthy food, but that's my only choice unless I want to starve at work.

  • My hair is super thin and won't hold curls?

I curl it with a curling iron and it'll look really cute for about half an hour, then it all falls out. Sometimes I put in like a gallon of hairspray and that helps a bit, but I don't like putting in so much hairspray.

Is there a good product that will secure my curls, but keep my hair soft and flexible instead of hard like the hairspray makes it? I don't want to spend a whole lot either

  • reliable, inexpensive, four wheel drive car?

What's the best car I can get for the least amount of money? I live in the mountains, so four wheel drive is a must. I need good gas milegage and for the most part I don't care what it looks like.
