    here are some tips :

    1. The very basic, just call the number back.

Very simple yet many people still would rather perform other investigative methods. If you don't want to be known, use other phones. Call the number, then just ask on who is speaking. Simple right?

    2. Do Google search on the cell phone number.

Try it in different ways, prefix with country code, area code, etc. Today, it seems that most of those online have their number listed on message boards, forums, blogs, etc. There are lots of contact numbers indexed in search engines.

    Do you have directory assistance?

Can you ask your local operator to connect you to the UK Operator in Kent.

No matter what happens, you will pay some money but by going through the operator, it shouldn't be costly.

You'll need to have the person's name and full address and be prepared to be told they may be ex-directory (unlisted).

If you have the person's address, why not write to them asking for their number and then it will just be the cost of a stamp...

They could email you the number...

Within the UK you dial directory enquiries for a small fee. You need to know his name and address.

Or you can look up a hardcopy phone book (which you won't have), or perhaps an online one for Kent?

Here's one service....name and postcode needed (pc = zip code): http://www.118.com/?gclid=CJPsyPD55owCFQ7mlAod6EiD...

It's a pretty big place by UK standards, try narrowing the search a bit!

Or ask someone to look it up for you, that does know...like me!
