My step grandfather does. He lives with us. It is very hard living with someone with Alzheimers. I love him to death but you have to constantly watch out for him. We have to put alarms and signs on things to help him out. Alzheimers is no joke, its very hard caring for someone with it.

Here's a good site to find support for people who want to understand Alzheimer's better or are caring for someone with the disease.

    http://dailystrength.org/support/Seniors/Alzheimer...

It's a great place to share information and discuss treatment options.

My mother is dying of dementia. It is not the Alzheimer's type, but that does not matter much. Dementia took my grandmother as well. It is like watching them die in very slow motion. I fear I will be next.

MY wifes Grandmother had it and apperently it is hereditary, since dementia has been prevalent in her families make up. It is an absolutelydreadful disease that robs one of their most precious possession. their memory.

Yes and she died today. She was always lucid and I always felt like she was "in there" somewhere. Almost like she couldn't come out.
