Where can i get free legal mp3 files for my new mp3 player?

I used to have limewire 4.10.9 but all of a sudden it stopped downloading song for me even though ive been using it for over a year now..i dont know why but is there any other websites that i dont have to pay..and please dont say itunes..thanks

    Imesh is free and legal. Also has chat function like msn where you can meet new people.

    limewire gave me a virus and it's illegal. mpfree is legal and free...i've been using it for months now. haven't spent anything or gotten any viruses
