If you admit to liability, it will be very difficult to get the insurance company to pay out against your injuries. If there was a third party involved the claim would go against there policy and not yours. This is one of the reasons why people get shafted after having an accident with a non insured driver as there own insurance does not cover them.

If you are at-fault for the accident, the best you can hope for is that your auto policy has Medical Payments or Personal Injury Protection (pip) . Those coverages will pay your med bills from your own policy no matter who is at-fault. PIP may also cover some lost wages.
If you don't have these coverages you can try to submit the med bills to your health insurance.
If you are at-fault you are not legally entitled to collect for "pain & suffering."

Nope as if it your fault you are admitting to liability.
Everybody would be claiming from their insurers if this was the case.
