Could you please tell me WHY?

it should be that your lost item is always in the very last place you look for it.

i hate that too, but what pisses me off the most is that sometimes i lose something, and i search and search, and then i go to the exact same place when i began to search, and there it is.

LOL - very true. I bet if scientists did an experiment and hid an item in a room which had 10 hiding places, said item would be in the 10th place you looked. If the experiment was repeated 1000 times the outcome would always be the same.

    I believe this.

When you are looking for a lost item, when you find it, its the last place you look for it because once you do look in that very last spot, you don't need to look for it anymore.

Because by definition... a LOST item is LOST... so it WILL be in the last place you look... see? :o)

I have a way round that, I always look in the last place first.

Well... now I can't be sure but, once you find it doesn't that mean it's no longer lost? I guess just for the fun of it you could keep on looking, that way way you could say something like... "it was in the 5th place I looked".

    More importantly

Why is it always in the first place you look - when looking for something else
