Is it possible to run 2 pool filters/pumps in line at the same time with different gallons per hour?

I have an 800 gallon an hour fitler/pump hooked up to my pool...and I have a 1000 gallon and hour filter/pump that I was wondering if I can hook them up inline and run them both..is it possible?

    from something and dont want to waste it? No, I would not

    run them in series. If you want a bigger pump, just install a

    bigger pump.

    If you have seperate pipe you can .But if you want charg both pump by one line or add extra pump in line your pipe from pool should be minimum three times larger in diameter from entry of aech pump .
