Only grey & white, with a white face?

Sounds like a white faced normal grey. They can be visually sexed but it depends on the age. If it's over 6 months it can be sexed.

A male white faced normal grey has a solid white face. A female has a very washed look about her face, the white isn't solid. In these particular mutations if you look under the tail & wings. A solid colour under tail & wings indicates male, barring & stripes under tail & wings indicates famale.

IF the bird is under 6 months old it will look like a female. Approx 6 months *** it start to mature (if male) it's colours will change in visible appearance, more solid colours. If a female you won't see a change in appearance.

You can tell anybody you want to. lol I think u meant "how". Has the bird molted yet? On cockatiels, you cannot tell what they are until after their first molt. Also, there are so many mutations of the cockatiel now that to tell you any one way would be wrong. So what kind of cockatiel? Normal Grey, Pearl? Latino? White? White face? Pied, if so, what kind? Some you can tell by their face, some by the marks on the bottom of the tail feathers or wings, some by the amount of pearling in them. Use to be, cockatiel meant: Normal Grey, but not anymore. You cannot tell by the color of the feet, the size or the cere. The cere is for Budgies. Sorry guys.

I raise cockatiels, I have 3 babies in the nest right now. The males chirp and whistle. and the females are quiet... The only sure fire way to tell a male from a female is to have the bird sexed... My mother is a bird breeder and she looks at the feathers under the wings... The feathers have white lines that either go up and down or from side to side.. up and down is female and side to side is male, but sometimes that isn't always true as I have a male's feathers run up and down, he is grey with a white head and some white feathers. The grey cockatiel's with a yellow head are males. There is also a way to tell the sex of the bird by lightly pressing the breast bone, if the bone splits into two like a wish bone that bird is female and if it goes strait down that bird is a male.

Like I said before, to know for sure you can have it sexed or get more cockatiel, when they start breeding the male sits on the females back...

Both of my males sing and carry on all day long, my female is quiet, she does make noises but not like the males do... My grey and white bird was supposed to be female and I named her Maggie May because of the way the white feathers ran under the wing and he's the daddy of the babies so now I call him Toby... Good luck with your bird...

Smaller cockatiels are girls usually and the females also are more dull in color than the males. Another way to tell is to take the bird into sunlight and look at the eyes. If they reflect red or are light brown, it's most likely a girl. Males usually have almost black eyes.

Is it a white face cockatiel? the woman at the pet store told me that with white face 'tiels, females have a speckled gray face, and males have a pure white face. Other than that you can only really go by personality. males tend to be more vocal, and they can be taught to talk and whistle tunes much easier than a female, but it doesnt always work out that way.

Boy cockatiels are more vocal, have a brighter orange patch on their cheek, girls have more grey colouring, and when you look at the tail feathers' bottoms in boys they are mostly solid, but girls have horizontal stripes.

It is said that girl cockatiels have brighter orange spots on their cheeks in general and more yellow under tail feathers. Not sure as to how true this is!

If she has stripes all over her tail than it's a girl. If not it may be male,im not sure if it's only grey and white. So call the vet if you see no stripes on the tail and describe the bird's appearence. the vet may be able to tell.
