The filter on the 3.0 V6 is in the middle of the block on the side that is towards the front of the car. It is right above the starter and fairly easy to get at.

The filter on the 3.8 V6 is on the lower front passenger side corner near the exhaust. It helps to make something to help the oil drain out to stick under the filter on the 3.8 otherwise it will leak into the subframe and drip after you are done. If you take the filter box and tear it vertically down one of the corners then rip the lid and bottom off you can fold it into a V shape and it will stick right up under the filter and the oil will drain clear of the frame with no mess to clean up.
