For creative people....Your thoughts on your Muse?

DO they feed us an idea and an emotion?

or do we send the vibes out and they bounce back?

MY random thought on a Muse.

I wish mine would come back and stay ..and not go off and hide on me.

Any other thoughts?

Are yours female? Male?

Mine is male...and I have a main one and another that will pop up if it is someone that I can "feel".

If that makes any sense,,,

There are a lot of thoughts on muses and being creative (especially when it's not happening) that have been gathered on this page of my website if you want to check them out:

(... click on the category called "Creativity & Inspiration"...)

(my website has mostly to do with polymer clay, but the muse stuff would be similar for many other pursuits too)

    Good luck!

My muse has the unfortunate habit of running off to Tahiti when I think I need her. But she does show up once in awhile and when she does, she's full of suggestions. I can't keep up with all the things that flood my mind. Because most of her suggestions deal with the computer or typewriter (I'm old) I have named her Clicko. She has a fondness for chocolate.

I'm kind of on the other side of the issue. My muse won't leave me alone, and forces me to start project after project, then prods me because I don't finish them all (only some). I often have to say no, no, no to the ideas that run around in my head all the time

  • I keep my muse in my head..it's called my inner voice.

I feed it different things like lovely spring breezes, fresh flowers and sometimes dark earthy things like well...you know.

Mine always seems to be on vacation when she's not getting in barroom brawls.
