I live in Hawaii where we also have to give heartworm and flee medication monthly. After moving from California and seldom using chemicals I had a hard time with this but to live in a humid environment, we have few choices. You are lucky enough to get medication on line with little or no shipping so definitely take advantage of it. I have had good luck with on line sources in the past but shipping here is ridiculous. I use Frontline because the flees are sterilized by it but diatomaceous Earth also works well. Check out many sources on line for this. Advantix is good for repelling mosquitoes which is an added plus. I have three dogs of differing weights so that is a factor in what I use. By the way, I have min. pins. at 9 and 14 pounds and a 28 pound humane society mix. Good luck on your decision.

K9 Advantix says they are good for mosquitos also. you know the commercial. there aint no bugs on me there may be bugs on some of you mugs....... skin so soft is ok in normal grassy areas but in the woods it tends to leave something to be desired.
