If you were a GM how would you fix the Lakers?
You can decide to keep Kobe or trade him.You can use trades, free agents signings, the draft . Also give me the starting lineups. Be realistic dont say having KG and Jermaine O'Neal together with Kobe, something that would make sense. Hint: Think about the cap room

This isn't the Fantasy League. But...
But first things, first, Trade Kobe Bryant. For Ben Gordon, Luol Deng and Andres Nocioni. I will throw in our Picks as well.
I will also try to sign Steve Blake through Free Agency. I will then trade Andrew Bynum for Steven Hunter.
My ideal line up:
PG Steve Blake
SG Ben Gordon
SF Luol Deng
PF Lamar Odom
C Steven Hunter
Now, this team looks very athletic and could very well contend against any West teams. Steven Hunter, is a very good player, but has been overshadowed through the past years. Lamar Odom will continue to play in the PF position.
Kobe Bryant is better off with the Bulls.
PG Kirk Hinrich
SG Kobe Bryant
SF Thabo Sefelosha
PF Tyrus Thomas
C Ben Wallace
Its a win-win situation for both teams. Bulls will aquire the best player in the League. Bryant has a better team and a better supporting cast. Defensively the Bulls looks very good.
Lakers will have two great All-Stars and very good trio in Gordon, Deng, Odom.
The Bulls can get a big man they need through their pick, Joakim Noah will be a great addition. Lakers gets a fresh start.

I would keep Kobe and Lamar
Straight swap with Sacramento, Kwame Brown and his expiring contract for Ron Artest. If Kwame finally plays to his potential they are the front runners to resign him, if not they only have him for a year and they can let him go. The main thing is they get rid of their headache in Artest.
Deal with Philly to get Andre Miller. Package a sign and trade with Luke Walton, Andrew Bynum and Jordan Farmar, and a pick if necessary. That way the Sixers get three young promising players with low amount salaries.
Try and sign Chris Mihm to a minimum contract or a partial mid-level exception.
The Lakers then have a starting lineup of:
PG - Andre Miller
SG- Kobe Bryant
SF - Lamar Odom
PF - Ron Artest
C - Chris Mihm
Their bench would consist of:
Ronny Turiaf
Brian Cook
Vlad Radmanovic
Maurice Evans
Sasha Vujacic
Then they can pick up another backup PG or C in the draft and through free agency and their team is set.
The salaries match up in the trades. Miller and Artest only have 2 years left on their contracts. So if that team can't compete, they can use them again in another trade next summer to a team looking to clear cap space.
The Lakers were just lacking a true PG and they will have that in Andre Miller. And some defensive tenacity from their front court.
I think that starting 5 could compete with ANY team in the league.
Now if they can find a sucker to take Vlad off their hands, they would be set.

Would trade Kobe and the 19th pick to the Bulls for Gordon, Brown, Sefolosha, Cash and the 9th overall pick. Use the pick to draft Brandan Wright, Yi Jian Lian, or Acie Law (Farmar looks like he can become a solid PG though.) If they do draft Acie Law instead of a good young PF they can trade Odom and Gordon to Portland for Randolph and Martell Webster.
C- Bynum
PF- Randolph
SF- Walton
SG- Webster
PG- Acie Law
Good young nucleus which they can build off of. Randolph isn't the greatest character in the NBA but he isn't the worst either so they can deal with it. He's still a good talent at PF in terms of scoring and rebounding, which they'll need. That can pressure Bynum into becoming a better all around defender at the Center position, and Webster would alleviate the size problem if they had Gordon and Acie Law starting in the backcourt. Of course drafting Brandan Wright or Yi Jian Lian (attract more of the large Chinese population into buying jerseys/tickets) would mean they don't trade for Randolph and Webster so you'd have:
C-Bynum
PF- Brandan Wright/Yi Jian Lian
SF- Odom/Walton
SG- Gordon
PG- Farmar
Either way, it's a decent young nucleus to rebuild from. Plus they will save some money with PJ Brown's contract coming off the books.

Sell the franchise back to Minneapolis.....well, get rid of Kobe and do what Chicago did. Grab a group of young solid players and make a team out of it down the road. Kobe is still young, so if he could be a team player and work with the young guys, in three years they could have a seriously good team with some good young trades. How could you go wrong with Phil Jackson and Kobe Bryant? Kobe kinda sucks in this way because he has the capability to turn a team into a championship contender, but he hasn't learned how to be a leader yet and I'm afraid his ego will never let him. It's always "me, me, me" not "us, us, us". It looks like they may actually be closer to trading him though....either way, the Lakers are going need some huge name free agents and keep Kobe, or they are going to have to get rid of Kobe and continue the building process. Even without Kobe, they coul make the playoffs next year. They may be swept, but they still have a decent team and a great coach!

Kobe wants to go, so it's time to ship him out. You could probably get 2 really good players, 2 others plus future draft picks for the guy. I'ld be bugging Chicago for Deng, Gordon, Nocioni, Sweetney and draft picks. LA still has Odom, Turiaf, etc. I'ld probably throw in Kwame Brown as an extra.
Or why not talk to New York. Grab Crawford, Frye, Jeffries, get NY to send Lee and Robinson and a pick to Atlanta and also grab Josh Smith and a pick.
Man, go out and grab a new team LA. Start over.

Well i think trading kobe is the right thing bcuz while he is the best in the game, he doesnt wanna be there and it doesnt allow anyone else to be the leader of the team. i would trade kobe to the bulls for a package of like ben gordan, andres nocioni, and a future draft pick. then i would try somehow to get chauncey billups (who is a free agent this year) through the f/a market or a sign and trade. tht would make the lineup like this
Billups/Gordan/Nocioni/Lamar/Bynum

on an identical time as your applicable your applicable. Pheonix is indoors the appropriate 5 or most of the protecting categories you named... they have an above basic protection, rather appropriate 10 indoors the league. people do not grant them credit utilising fact they evaluate offense with protection. Suns offense is style a million indoors the NBA, so a secure practices indoors the appropriate 10 does not sound that astounding in assessment. you will locate how smart some each and each individual is nice right here on Yahoo thoughts are lol, I see 3 questions with regard to the lack of Suns protection an afternoon. the two they decide to be ignorant questioning their team could be greater desirable powerful then the suns in one ingredient (protection) or probable they are certainly not smart a thank you to evaluation stats and watch video games o.ok.. (<.<) (>.>) additionally how do people think of of the suns get on without delay breaks and turn the %.. up? the various team does not in basic phrases grant them the ball, they grant approximately turnovers off the block or steal. So in a manner their offensive fulfillment comes from their protection, i'm however unsure how people don't comprehend this... good question Antwuan.

you guys are stupid the only thing the lakers need to do is to get a good point guard kidd and a center dwight howard and combined with a shooting guard kobe bryant they would win every nba title but it would cost the lakers alot to buy these two guys, but they good i mean jason kidd always make the right desicion just like steve nash, and dwight howard no one can't stop him is like the next shaq, and last but not kobe bryant the best in the league would give everything his got with the helps of these two guys

Get as many draft picks as I could for Kobe and build from the ground up.

He doesnt want to play there so I would trade Kobe for the best deal, which would be to PHX for Amare or Marion and picks. There not gonna win anytime soon so might aswell get the best deal for him.
