Hi. i bought a horizontal hard drive today. Can I place my computer monitor on the hard drive? Guessing the monitor weighs 10-15 pounds.

You can but I wouldnt recomend it due to the weight of the monitor hard drives are very sensitive and normally they are bracketed with nothing near weighing on them for the fact that the weight might crush the disk platters or deform the platter and have the needle(s) in the hard drive being prevented from moving.

i would not. the hard drive case most likely wont hold that amount of weight for very long and also ur hard drive needs space because it generates heat from being written on and needs to have space to air out and cool down.

no, because the hard drive can be crushed

I doubt if the case would hold that amount of mass.
