    Define hooked? How many a day?

    These drinks are typically high in sugar and caffeine.

    You get a sugar rush and caffeine buzz from these things. But when the sugar wears off, it leaves you more drained. Which then makes you want to drink another.

    Large amounts of caffeine are bad for you. Caffeine is a diuretic, which causes you to pee a lot, removing vitamins and minerals from your body. Caffeine also blocks the absorption of calcium.

    Also because of the high sugar content, if you are not exercising a lot, you will gain a lot of weight from them.

    As your body adjusts to the large amounts you are drinking, it takes more and more caffeine for it to affect you. Which causes you to drink more. Which causes you to need more to get the effects. etc. It is an addiction.

    The hard part is working off the addiction. Depending on how many you drink a day determines how long it will take to come off it. Drink lots of water, and get lots of exercise early in the morning. The first few days will be painful as you adjust your body to a lower level.

    Eventually you should get it down to a manageable level.

    If you go cold turkey, you will be irritable and lethargic for a few days. Its hard, but worth it.

    Also compare the price of these drinks to everything else you drink, and consider how much money you are spending on sugar and caffeine.

    its not that bad from you. when u stop drinking it ur body is misssing the caffenie and goes through withdrawal. your body goes through withdrawal over anything tht you usually take alot of in. so if was choclate u would do the same thing. alot of it is also mind over matter u think u need another one which isnt true. these are teh same symtoms and problems that drug addicts have when they try to stop. its not that bad for u and u dont have to stop drinking it but do it carefuly because you shouldnt have a ridic amount of caffenie each day. ciao

    you're hooked because of the caffine and other chemicals that are addictive. it's not energy. energy comes from food, not stimulants. you're hooked because when you try to quit you start to experience withdrawal symptoms, and one of which is depression - often including irritibiility.
