Have anybody got a no helmet ticket 212125a ?

My son got a ticket for not wearing the bicycle helmet. This is a $112.50 ticket totally another way for Irvine PD to generate money for their new cars and luxurious bad habits . Can we contest this citation. It was the first time, should he got a warning first. Can we fight it?. He is 13yrs old and an "A" student..

You can almost always get points dismissed, but the money -- FORGET ABOUT IT. Tickets are all about generating income for the state, so pay the tab and move on.

if it is the law why are you going to try and fight it just because he is an "A" student. that would be like saying "hey lets let everyone who got all 'As' run stops signs every sunday" Take it as a lesson learned and be careful about the law no matter how crazy they sound. contact your local gov't as well.
