I have a windows xp laptop. When I turn it on it stops at the windows xp screen and freezes up. Please help.?

Oh yes and the battery warms up fairly quickly.

    It might be a bad driver, try goining into safe mode and go from there.

    I think it is fairly simple that the battery warms up quickly, unless you have noticed this change since the day you bought your system.

    To try to solve the problem, have you tried entering in Safe Mode? If you can, try doing a system restore and removing programs so that you may be able to load.

    The other thing that I can think of right now is probably just resetting the system, what I mean is formatting it and installing Windows XP again.

    press F8 when you turn on your laptop. Choose to run safe mode. In safe mode, click no to perform system restore. Choose an ealier date which your laptop still perform. Follow the step to restore into ealier date configuration.

    If the above doesn't help, you might need to reinstall your windows OS.

  • Take it to a computer repair store, there can be a lot of things wrong with it.
