I need some advice plz....?

I have told this man that i love him,then he told me that " don't say something that you don't mean" .I never say it to him again,but im so confused on him cause everytime we will see each other he always ask me if i like him.But now if he will ask me i will give him back his question and let him answer first before i will and our answer are both yes.

His 35 years old now and im 26.Sometimes his telling me that his too old for me and im so sophisticated that there are other men who will like me.But one time he found out that i went out for lunch w/a guy but with my female bestfriend,he was so furious and even accuse me of pretending and cheating on him.while we don't have a " real relationship ". It seems that his afraid to fall inlove w/me,afraid that i might hurt him at the end because im younger than him.But honestly this is the first time i ever felt this towards a man.And i really regret going out that time although its just really a friendly date and im not alone.
