Is it a good idea to go on a Caribbean cruise in November or December?
I want to be able to snorkel but I want to be comfortable doing it. I'm also wondering if all the shore excursions that are offered during the summer are also available during the winter or do they change due to the lower number of tourists.

I think its a great idea. Actually most Caribbean island consider winter there high season, everyone wants to go somewhere warm when its cold. So you shouldn't have a problem with excursions.

November and December are very good times of the year to cruise. Unless it is over the Thanksgiving Holiday or Christmas, the prices are generally lower!
You will be able to snorkel depending on the conditions of the sea at the port you are visiting...this can change and be different for all seasons.
Shore excursions are not cheaper, during this time of the year....they are the same year round.
The weather in the Caribbean is generally great this time of year.
I have a group sailing the Royal Caribbean, Freedom of the Seas, November 4, 2007, visiting the Eastern Caribbean.
Good Luck with your plans,

I have been on a cruise in December and am going again in October. The weather is great all year round! You will probably get better excursion rates during these months. Check out Weatherchannel.com and you can get hi and low temps for any area any time of year.
