    Turtles like most lizards have a beak like mouth that cuts like scissors. This is used to grab and rip their food rather than chew it.

    Why the thumbs down for a correct answer?

    Care sheets are free on my web site for turtles, sliders and tortoise.

    No & Yes

    They don't have teeth they have a beak. Cuttle bone offered keeps their beaks from growing outta hand the same as a bird.

    Soft bodies were covered by a bony shell, with an oval shaped skull and beaked mouth;

    however

    early turtles had teeth and had not yet evolved a way of pulling their heads into their shells.
