What do you think of this engagement ring??

nice. but i like the simpler design, just the stone in the center. =)

It's a little huge for my taste for an engagement ring...but really it's your own opinion that matters most, you know. If you like it, that's all that matters. You're the one that's gonna have it on your finger for the next 50 years or so ^_^

edit: by huge, I mean it has a lot of diamonds and other stuff all over it. My engagement ring basically looks like 3 simple stones, but it's actually made up of 21 teeny diamonds. Some people think it's small, because it's only 1/2 a carat. But I absolutely love it and wouldn't trade it for the world ^_^

I know I should keep my mouth shut on this one, but can't resist asking WHY in the world would you care what us folks on Q&A care about your ring.

To me it comes across like you are trying to show off and brag about a $1700 setting and 1.5 carat stone. Nice, very nice, but NOT something that is going to wildly impress your neighbors if you live in a better or good area of Orange Country. Remember also, there are so pretty bad slums in Orange Country, dear.

I think "crass" might be the word people of "class" would use about this question.

It's nice enough I suppose, but I wouldn't personally choose it. When it comes to engagement rings, I prefer plain and simple--no elaborate scroll work, diamond chips, etc. That ring sort of reminds me of a dinner ring that an old lady would wear. It's nice, but it's just too ornate.

Will it distract from the center diamond ?

How will a wedding band fit in ? Does it come in a matching set?

Not my taste. I like simple. But I am not you and I won't be looking at it every day. If you think you can look at the ring every day and will still love it, then it's good for you.

Go with your gut feelings.

if you and your soon to be spouse like the ring then go for it.

It would annoy me to have something that big on me though.
