So, if you are getting surgery, don't you want to know what is being done to your body?

Before getting surgery, you are informed on what if actually being done to your body. You are not forced to view the surgery, because it is not a decision that you made, you most likely HAVE to have the surgery.

Abortion is a decision you make, supposedly a responsible decision that is best for you. Fine, so why do most people who get abortions or support abortions think that they don't have a responsibility to view their own ultrasound or that it should be a factor in the decision process?

A responsible decision is based upon all facts and evidence. A person getting an abortion is making a responsible decision for their self and their situation. But they should also take the responsibility of what they are doing and be open to any changes that can take place.

You don't take an action towards anything without taking EVERYTHING into consideration, or else it is NOT being responsible!

Update:

Fine by me bigdaddy, you should have no opinion anyway because you are male...

Update 2:

They do not all KNOW what they are doing, they know what they are TOLD at the time. Many girls and women are told that they are just extracting tissue and viewing an ultrasound would correct the information.

Update 3:

I don't need to sleep better at night, I have not had an abortion. But if I needed to have one, I would. I would still consider all facts before making the decision...that is all I am promoting. An educated person makes an educated decision on anything they do. A responsible person makes a responsible decision.

I know I would want to know what was going on with surgery.

I would hope a woman who was about to make the biggest mistake of her life would want to know what was going to happen too.

Are you serious? Are you ever going to leave this alone?

The know they are having a baby taken out, why do they have to look at an ultrasound to confirm that?

They know they are pregnant, and they know the reasons they are choosing to have an abortion, seems to me they have all the facts and evidence they need.

Seems to me like your looking for a way to help you sleep better at night.

I'll tell you what I'll start going around asking women who want an abortion, for whatever their reasons, if you agree that after they have the baby they can drop him/her off at your house for you to raise and take care of o.k.?

So do you plan to legislate a script that every doctor has to read to every patient about every surgery? Because I want my medical information to come from a Congressional Committee with their clear and easy to understand prose. They are last people want writing that stuff.

This is where doctors make decisions about how best to educate patients. Different people want or need different kinds of information. Some people really don't want to know. My father used to sign vaccination consent forms for my sister and I without reading them. He knew that the benefits of getting vaccinated outweighed the risks and he knew death was a risk, he just didn't like to think about it.

Most women know what they are doing. Most women have the information. You just want to bash them over the head with it because you can't understand why they would feel differently that you do.

"If I needed to have an abortion, I would", do you realize you just told everyone you are Pro-Choice? After all your prosletyzing and lecturing, if "needed an abortion", you'd have one.

And since you support "taking EVERYTHING into consideration", when do you get pregnant and have that abortion you "need", just so you know "EVERYTHING" about the issue?

If you think abortion is wrong, don't don't have one. Problem solved. Why tell others how to run their lives?
