Is it possible to adjust a pattern?

Let's say for instance you are using a pattern to make a dress and you use a size ten. Can you adjust it to make it a size 12 or do u need to ultimately get a new pattern.

    you can adjust it, but you should figure out where the adjustments need to be- in the shoulders, the bust, the hips?

    Yes you can adjust it, any way you like. Make it a little bigger for a 12. Or, for example, bring in the waist if you have a smaller waist.
