Anyone else hearing of more cases of TSS (toxic shock syndrome)?

Toxic shock can occur at any time, not just from using tampons, and I have to say it is very rare these days. Them cases are rare and it is likely that they mis-used their tampons, e.g left them in after 8 hours even if advised not to, and stuff like that.

It is VERY important to read labels these days, even if you are sure you know what you're doing, otherwise you could end up being a victim.

It is VERY RARE but that does not mean that you will not get it. You can't leave it in for more than 8 hours a night and you should get the absorbancy that suits you. Not more absorbant because that makes the risk of TSS higher. Be careful because TSS is very serious and can cause death!

No, but your really should use a tampon for more than 4 hours--hello bacteria build up! Septicemia, people are very ignorant

no, but they scare me to death and back, and i never completely fill the tampons i use anyways, even the super light ones
