1994 Chev Lamina Van Electronics problem?

When driving along the engine dies. Trying to restart it without recycleing the ignition, the engine just turns over but won't start. If the key is turned off and back on the engine starts and runs perfectly untill it dies again. If the key is recycled, it starts immediatly.

I took it to the dealership and they replaced the eng. coolent sensor and the trans coolent sensor. Fixed an open wire to the eng. coolent sensor and the 4 wire connector to the crankshaft sensor. I still have the problem.

I have been a master tech for 40 yrs. but, have been retired for 10 yrs.. My question is, is there a power module that regulates the power to the PCM and if so, where is it located?

It acts as if it's loosing power to the computer. Like a bad ground or module causing the computer to loose power.

Coils, Ignition module and wireing have all checked out good.

Any ideas what's causing the problem? Thanks.

Update:

When the computer looses power, there is no spark or fuel pressure. The PCM controls all that. It doesn't work after it dies, untill the key is recycled.

    Cal: I'm sure you know more about this one than I do, but one thought I had was to not recycle the key when it stalls the next time and actually troubleshoot why it cranks but won't start. For example, does it lose spark or fuel? I would demand that the engine should start anytime I cranked the engine, period! And if you can get it to stay in that condition (crank but no start), so much the better for troubleshooting. I'm sure your equipped with the basics, but don't forget about a simple spark tester (link below) which can test any ignition system including coil over plug. Of course the basic fuel pressure gauge should be connected to the fuel injection rail as well.
