2000 Chevy Blazer?

I am not familiar with this car. I need something to help me move several states away, and to tow an older car. A local used car dealer has a 2000 Chevy Blazer, for under $9000, it has about 90,000 miles on it. Seems like it is in pretty good condition, only concern is that when I test drove it, it shook a bit over 65 mph, dealer said that is the tires and is offering to replace tires.

Is this type of car reliable? Does it have the power to tow a another car 1000 miles? Anything I should watch out for in looking to buy it? Any special maintanance needs?

Thank you for your help.

I like the price but the mileage scares me. With that mileage you may have to start repairing oil leaks, transmission leaks, etc. You will have car payments and insurance payments to make. You won't have extra money for car repairs too. I would keep shopping. Another option--'U-Haul'. Rent one of their trucks with a car towing thingy and you and your old car will be on your way!

I had that same car...it was reliablke BUT you can not drive it on fumes all the time the gas tank needs to always be at least a quarter full....it has a fuel injection pump that will need to be replaced if you do...i had to do it twice and it was 300 bucks each time...it can tow...and the price sounds too high...mine was a 2000 and was only worth like 6,500 a year ago...check kelly blue book...

yes that is a good reliable vehicle ,and if their offering to replace the tires on it,that's even a better deal, the price is a little high though for the mileage ,but if you can talk them down any at all on the price,it would help some, they are really good vehicles, and i don't think it would cause many problems for you at all, like i said though i think the price is a little high see if you can get them to take less, other than that it will serve its purpose for you, good luck hope this helps.
